At Speak Cheezy, we believe that food has the power to bring people together, and even more so, for a greater cause. This year, we had the incredible honor of participating in LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, an inspiring event aimed at raising funds for childhood cancer research. With the support of passionate chefs, restaurants, mixologists, breweries, and food lovers across the city, this year's event raised an amazing $1.7 million to support the fight against childhood cancer.

Our Contribution: Green Chorizo Pizza with a Flavorful Twist

For this special event, Chef Jason knew we had to bring our best to the table, and our contribution was a pizza he's particularly proud of – packed with bold flavors and local ingredients. Our featured pizza was topped with Chori-Man green chorizo, sweet corn, a rich and smoky caramelized corn crema, and finished with shishito pepper rajas and a sprinkle of tajín. Every bite brought a perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and smoky, representing Chef Jason's dedication to creativity and quality at Speak Cheezy.

Silent Auction: An Exclusive At-Home Pizza Party

As part of the event's efforts to raise funds, we were thrilled to contribute an exclusive at-home pizza party for 25 people to the silent auction. Chef Jason will bring his Gozney dome oven to provide an exclusive pizza experience to one lucky bidder's home, offering a night of delicious food and good vibes in support of such an important cause. It's an opportunity for us to connect with the community on a more personal level, while continuing to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's mission.

LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is more than just a food event – It's a heartfelt mission to support children and families affected by childhood cancer. We're incredibly proud to have been a part of this event for a sixth year, knowing that our contribution helps make a difference. Whether through crafting unique pizza experiences or raising awareness, Speak Cheezy is always ready to support meaningful causes that reflect our values.
